Residents in Lagos basically Ijora, Bariga, Isolo, Oworoshonki, Kettu, Banana Island, Lekki and Aja have lamented over the flooding in their area which have displaced majority while property worth billions of naira have been destroyed due to the frequent downpour.
The state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode at a workshop on water management and environmental control in Ikeja on Monday have showed concern over the disaster caused by the flood saying "flooding like the one that happened in Lekki, Ikoyi and Victoria island will soon be a thing of the past".
The Governor said Lagos or Nigeria is not the only state or country that is being affected by flood saying it is a global phenomenon.
The state government partnered Israel to develop water technology and environmental control as well as to explore its technological advancement
