Osinbajo thumps IBB, Obasanjo, Jonathan, others for squandering $982.8bn oil incomes since 1990."
VP Yemi Osinbajo said he thought about how past Nigerian pioneers, including a military Dictator, Ibrahim Babangida; previous President Olusegun Obasanjo and previous President Goodluck Jonathan, spent the oil incomes that accumulated to the nation amid their organizations.
As indicated by an announcement on Monday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande, the Vice-President said this while noting inquiries from Nigerians at a town hall meeting in Minnesota, the United States of America, on Sunday.
Osinbajo said Nigeria's problems were not about geographical restructuring but rather about legitimate administration of the nation's assets.
While depending on the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries' measurements on oil incomes accruable to Nigeria under progressive organizations somewhere in the range of 1990 and 2014, the Vice-President said very little had been done as far as framework advancement in spite of the tremendous oil incomes acknowledged by the nation.
Osinbajo stated, "Under the IBB/Abacha organizations (1990 – 1998), Nigeria acknowledged $199.8bn.
"Under the Obasanjo/Yar'Adua governments (1999-2009), the nation got $401.1bn.
"Amid the Jonathan organization (2010-2014), Nigeria got $381.9bn from oil incomes.
"The inquiry that we should all ask is that what precisely happened to assets? The inquiry that I asked is that where is the framework?
"At the point when included, the oil incomes that gathered to the nation under IBB, Obasanjo, Yar'Adua and Jonathan added up to $982.8bn
One of the basic things that we should remember and see is that this administration, regardless of winning $94bn, up until 2017, we are spending more on foundation and capital than any past government. In this way, we are burning through N1.5trn on capital. That is the most astounding we have spent since 1990."
