Sowore storms Police headquarter in Abuja and secure the release of detained Journalist
Presidential candidate under the recently shaped African Action Congress (AAC) and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, raged the home office of the Nigerian Police Force with individuals from the #TakeItBack development to request the release of detained Premium Times journalist, Samuel Ogundipe.
In high spirits, they sang, cheered, and consciously publicized their expectation of taking Samuel back and guaranteeing he gets his flexibility. They were opposed and teargassed by the police.
Unflinching, they persevered, expressing that they won't leave until the point when Samuel was discharged unequivocally.
The force's PRO, Jimoh Moshood, turned out to address them and apologized for the demonstrations of his partners. He said their message would be transferred to the Inspector General and he will guarantee it achieves a sensible end.
This isn't the first run through Sowore will lead dissents and guarding the vulnerable and voiceless. He has a reputation of supporting dauntless battles for the benefit of all.
His activism days began at the University of Lagos, where he was an understudy, at the youthful age of eighteen. He has driven a few dissents and was a key piece of the Abiola/Abacha battles of the 90s.
Samuel Ogundipe has at last been discharged. All on account of Omoyele Sowore, the #TakeItBack development, and all Nigerians of good confidence who joined and bolstered the development from various parts of the globe.
